"Mountain Wind" begins from 90 degrees left, in tatehiza. Once again, an opponent attempts to seize the tsuka, and the iaidoka counters by rising to one knee and rotating the tsuka clockwise, then striking the opponent with the tsukagashira in the face (tsuka-ate). Nukitsuke ends with a diagonal slash, followed by pivoting into a reinforced kneeling side slash. The opponent is then dispatched with kirioroshi.
