Dai-Tokyo Binbou Manga Number 1.

Rosetta Stone. Web-based interactive software package. A little pricey, and not for raw beginners. Check out some of the free lessons to get a feel for it.

Wakaranai Comics - great concept, but so-so execution.

Reading materials from Japanese Central- some pdfs to stare at

Mukashibanashi - a real gem. Japanese fairy tales, beautifully presented. You've got to check this out.
